Saturday, July 11, 2026 10:30 am - 12:00 pm Gillian will cover the rise of tea drinking in Europe and the US, how afternoon tea became a social institution, the provenance of favourite tea menu items, customs and etiquette, examples of the finest silver and china tea ware, tea gowns and their risqué connotations, and the current nostalgic popularity of vintage afternoon teas.
